My Weight

Posted by Tamile

So I was at the same events as randilin this past weekend, but unlike him I gained this week and I am at 291.7 lbs. Randilin is going to help me put up a tracker and such later. For me I don't think it is the eatting because everyone is eating but the large amounts of alcohol that we consumed that evening. I know that I did not eat any more than I would normally but having several drinks and then having a complete extra meal around midnight did not help.

In the podcast that I listen to Fat 2 Fit Radio made a really good comment that in order to be a thin person you need to eat like a thin person. I like that . I just need to find out how to make that part of my life.

No loss and more importantly no gain. I'll take this as a win considering the weekend I had leading up to it. On Saturday there was a family BBQ where the booze flowed freely and so did the vast fields of food. I ate far more then I really should have, I can't help but wonder if they desire to eat around my family stems from the fact we are all larger people who eat around one another and have for years.

Weigh in Update.

Sorry I'm two days late, it is the problem with have to weigh in on someone else's scale. I've lost 1.2 pounds, which is a good start. I feel as though I've put it all back on today as I hate and snacked at a work food day to celebrate someones retirement.

Here is the progress graph so far -

So here I am to start posting about our journey to a healthier life and a better way of life. I will be doing a weigh in on Monday and I will post the results here.

Tuesday Weigh in

Posted by Randilin

So this is my first of a new series of weigh-ins. I've set my first goal as being 350 pounds I felt it was far enough away to make it a challenge and yet not so far away that it would take years to get too it. I'll be weighing in on Tuesday whenever possible the problem is at least for the moment I am to heavy to use our home scale which tops out at 400 pounds so I am at the mercy of a local clinic that lets me weigh in there.

Wish me luck and hopefully others will be join in as well. If you would like to post your own weight loss journey here please comment and let me know.

Welcome to our new Health Life Style and Weightloss blog.

My wife and I have been gradually been making small changes to our way of living for a few years now. Some of them take, and some of them don't. We recently have decided to make another go a lot of them and wanted a place where we could blog about our experiences and also a place where we could track how we are doing. So with that in mind the idea for Our Body her temple was born.

The name comes from the old expression "My body is a Temple" as pagans we both believe that we work and do magic for the God and Goddess through our bodies. As a priest and priestess of our faith it is our responsibility to keep our bodies in good health. A duty that we have both failed at for to long in our opinion. Now we will be changing that and invite you to change along with us.

There will be several different features that will pop up along the over the next couple of weeks as we get things set up and ready.
